Caution

Microsoft Powerpoint presentations are not very user friendly when published on the web. To avoid problems PLEASE READ ALL of these suggestions:

  • If you DO NOT have a high speed internet connection, you will find this presentation very sluggish, because the presentation has many embedded images. The presentation works great with a high speed connection.
  • Powerpoint presentations do not have an elegant way of exiting. From the non-full screen mode, you may close the browser window by clicking on the X in the upper right hand corner of the Internet Explorer Window, or use the back arrow to eventually exit the presentation.
  • To turn the OUTLINE mode ON or OFF click in the empty space immediately ahead or behind the word OUTLINE in the bottom left hand corner
  • To advance or backup slides, if not in full screen mode, simply click on the right or left arrow at the bottom of the screen.
  • To enter full screen mode, click on the projection screen symbol in the bottom right hand corner. This always takes you to page 1 of the presentation.
  • To exit full screen mode, click the Esc key or see End Show, below. Esc takes you back to whatever page of the presentation you were on, when you entered full screen mode. This might be slide 5 of the non-full screen presentation. In Full Screen mode, clicking on the ESC key or clicking on End Show have exactly the same effect.
  • To advance the slide in full screen mode, generally left clicking the mouse button works or use the space bar.
  • To advance or backup a slide, or to end the full screen mode, right click the mouse and you will be given a mini-menu.The choices are: Previous, Next and End Show. The first 2 are obvious. End Show takes you back to whatever page of the presentation you were on, when you entered full screen mode. This might be slide 5 of the non-full screen presentation. In Full Screen mode, clicking on the ESC key or clicking on End Show have exactly the same effect.
